Audacity of NWA

Northwest Airlines had the audacity to send out a booklet to its workers, most of whom had their pay cut and some of whom will get fired, telling them how to save money. Among some of the daring suggestions include shopping at thrift stores, digging in the garbage and taking their dates for walks in the woods instead of out to dinner or to the movies. To top it all off, NWA itself admitted that some of the suggestion were insensitive.

The booklet was distributed in paper form to ground workers, such as baggage handlers, after the union agreed to allow the outsource of the jobs. The booklet itself was written by a 3rd party company.

1701 not working? Duh!

Not a surprising title, I admit. However, the loons never seem to amaze me. The United "Pantywaste" Nations passes a resolution asking for a cease-fire between Israel and Lebanon. The resolution of course, being 1701. There was a previous resolution, 1559, which failed to do the same thing, but I won't get into that.  1701 calls for a cease-fire and the disarmament of Hezbollah by Lebanese and foreign forces. Some idiots actually believed that that would be the end of it, good night, drive safely. Apparently one of those people was Condoleeza Rice, but again not getting into that.

Now, again duh!, the Iranian, Syrian and Hezbollah leaders are calling this a victory for Hezbollah, with Hezbollah saying it won't disarm. The Lebanese army is in no rush to do the job 1701 calls for either. It was just last night that there were reports of Hezbollah rockets being fired. Now, if Israel fired back, they would get bullied again. So, what? They should just stand there and take it?

Meanwhile, the Iranian President is calling for Israel and its allies, includig the US, to be charged with war crimes. Guess what! Big surprise the terrorist-sympathizing loons at the United Nations agree! So, now my taxdollars are also going to an organization that wants us tried for war crimes, after we voted for the resoltution they passed. Its time for a pull out from the UN.

CNN Front Page

CNN's front page currently reads "By day two, Jill Carroll thought every little thing held a hidden meaning. Her kidnappers didn't pack her toothpaste and shampoo for a move. Was it a sign she wouldn't need those morning toiletries? Then during the car ride, she sat next to a boy with a tiny voice. She was shaking. He was bold. "What are you? What are you?" the kidnappers asked the boy. "I'm a Mujahid," a holy warrior, he declared."

I say, "Muhajid meet my glock, glock this is Muhajid.

Reutergate Underestimated?

Reutergate. Adnan Hajj. Manipulation of Images. If you haven't heard about it yet, you are either dead or in some remote village in the Amazon, and even then I'm not sure you haven't. Many people blow this off as an "honest mistake" and a one-time thing. Perhaps it was a mistake. Maybe it wasn't. That is still to be determined. However, one thing that seems to be certain is, this is not going to go away anytime soon.

I recently read a commentary (can't remember where),  which talked about Americans at one point believing everything they hear from the MSM (Main Stream Media) and taking it as fact. Now. of course, with the advent of the internet, blogs, email and more, its an understatement to say that it is harder to pull a fast one on the public. Let's face it. Had it not been for the forums and blogs, the manipulated photos by Adnan Hajj, would have continued to be taken as true. However, of course, they were questioned by ordinary Americans and proven false. Everytime the MSM lies makes a mistake, more and more of the American public question the MSM's every report and photo. So, while many people are blowing Reutergate off as an insignificant situation, it may actually be bigger than expected.

Bloggers are now going through entire archives of pictures by the MSM, questioning reports and talking about most broadcasts by the MSM. Simply put, Americans are trusting the mainstream media less and less, while looking to bloggers for their news. Somehow, somewhere, I can feel the winds of change approaching.

Judge to Sheehan: Get Out

A federal judge on Tuesday ruled that the county ban on roadside camping and parking is Constitutional. The county had enacted the ban after last years masquerade, when Sheehan's people brought complaints from locals about clogging the roads and making the air odorus due to the portable toilets set up along the road. U.S. District Judge Walter S. Smith ruled  the county ordinances brought about last fall are constitutional.

Finally, somebody says something. Cindy Sheehan is more annoying, than any other liberal I've ever heard of. She is like a mosquito. Luckily the judge was the one with a fly swatter.

Good and Bad

Well, simply put, the election, yesterday, carried good and bad news. The good news is that Cynthia McKinney, the obnoxious Congresswoman from Georgia, who hit and assaulted a Capitol Hill officer after he tried to stop her at a security checkpoint, lost the Democratic nomination for the mid-term elections.

The bad news, of course, is that Lieberman also lost the Democratic nomination in his home state, Connecticut. He lost by a margin of less than 10%, nonetheless his opponent is flaunting it as a landslide victory. Lieberman did, however, announce his running as an Independent, so he still has a shot at winning.
